Sébastien Maupoint

Agglomeration Operations Director of Pathé Quai d'Ivry

After my British A-level, I first worked at McDonald’s. In 1998, I joined the Gaumont Parnasse as a receptionist in charge of the Ciné Café. I was very interested in the integrated catering activity into shops and I discovered that it was a very complementary offer to go to the cinema. In the early 2000s, there were many actions to be taken in this area to develop it.

Through my various positions in several cinema groups, mainly in Île-de-France, I discovered a multi-faceted profession, centered on people and which requires a daily agility. This is what makes it so rich. Pathé leaves a lot of freedom to its employees, a participatory organization that encourages initiative and adaptation to all the situations that may arise in our activity. In addition, my career, from receptionist to cinema director, testifies to the real development opportunities that Pathé offers in the cinema profession.

Today, I am the Agglomeration Operations Director of Pathé Quai d’Ivry, a 14-screen multiplex on the outskirts of Paris. It is a cinema that benefits from large relaxation areas to developing the Retail activity, giving spectators the opportunity to extend their cinema outings by sharing good times with family or friends.

A multi-faceted profession, centered on people and which requires daily agility.
